My very first bride

I’m trying to regain my blogging mojo, so I’ll be posting some significant events old and new alike thru out my new found career (makeup artistry) every now and then.

Contrary to what most people think, I’m not a veteran, but a newbie in the freelance makeup industry. Though my experience in doing makeup goes way back when I was just a little kid with my mom’s red lipstick on hand, it wasn’t until July of this year that I decided to make it into a career. It took quite a lot of thought because aside from having an existing career in the corporate world, I’m also not very confident of my own abilities. It wasn’t until my aunt Helen’s constant encouragement and being asked to do wedding makeup from 4 random people (which I turned down during that time) that I finally believed that I can do this.

An opportunity came one day, and the fifth random bride to be by the name of Jehlyn approached me, this time I said “Yes!”.  Jehlyn was my very first bride, soft spoken, bubbly and very friendly. Jeh and I became instant friends, and I’m thankful that she believe in my craft so much as to trust her precious wedding hair and makeup to me. She gave me the break that I needed and she was the key that opened my door to freelance makeup artistry.

Here are some of the photos of Jehlyn on her Prenup and Wedding. The first three wedding photos you’ll see are from my mobile camera-phone, The professional photos fo both the wedding and prenup are taken by James Jayson Ty Photogaphy. Thanks Jayson for the copies.
